Systems, connectedness, outputs
Hey, whatâs shackinâ?
This may be a shorty of a newsletter, opting to be short and sweet.
The brain is fried from arguing with excel for for 3 weeks⌠But it also made me a staunch advocate that there is a way to use excel, and then there is the way most people use Excel.
I now, pathetically, want to redo many reports because oi.
Itâs really been an experience in data management. How to organize, connect, collect, clean, use, and abuse it.
Which can likely be applied elsewhere..

-stacking is to create simple and repeatable routines using ideas, tools and systems that build momentum and synergy.
sharp ideas
The phrase âmental modelâ is an overarching term for any sort of concept, framework, or worldview that you carry around in your mind. Mental models help you understand life.
Law of Interconnectedness
This law suggests that everything in the universe is interconnected. We are all part of a larger whole, and our thoughts, actions, and beliefs can impact others and the world around us.
When building systems or deciding on processes, there is a balance between what results you want (because garbage in, garbage out) and what information you need to collect, what is a waste of time, and what will get mismanaged (thus still no good).
It's really important to stick with the important stuff and build everything to align with how people already operate because it is hard to add steps that are out of the way.
The closer what you need to get done aligns with what is already happening, the faster and more cohesive the implementation.
âIn projects, like in production, the key is to understand the interconnection between logistics, human behaviour, policies and measurements. Any attempt to separate between them guarantees that only sophisticated, impressive, useless methods are the results of mammoth efforts.â
Sometimes, it seems like it makes sense to do something someway, only to have the practical execution prove you are, in fact, an idiot. JK, but I have found there are often consequences not identified until action is taken (which is why so many gurus tout it).
I think that really, really smart people can process second and third-order thinking whilst also keeping in mind the human condition and avoiding many pitfalls.
I am more of the learn-by-trial-and-fire type.
Might be a machoist.
quote Iâm musing
Buddha said, âwhat you think, you becomeâŚâ so while quotes wonât change your life, I do think they can shift your perspective, and that can be life changing.
"When you view the world as a series of outputs, you form opinions. But when you view the world as a series of systems, you form strategies."
Alex Hormozi has gone on a little tear, chewing up and spitting out âSystems.â I think heâs just being sensational and creating clickbait.
Dudes got systems out tfhe wazoo and needs a sound bite.
Systems are habits. Routines, flows, and interconnections that create consistent, repeatable results.
Systems are patterns.
When you start to see how things repeat, and then build a system or habit cycle around something- you guarantee a result.
So review your day, your life, your job, a task, your bank account, and your fitness levelâ the result is a reflection of the patterns in your days. The systems you follow.
Change the system, change the result.
Thatâs all for this week.

Until next week,
